Elephant Machine

This work references “The Elephant Man”, the celebrated movie directed by David Lynch, based upon a true story. At the same time, it references the artistic practice of the “oject trouvé”. It is a parody and at the same time an investigation of the issues of monstrosity and abnormality.
My early work often explores the clashing of two different aesthetic languages, one of which is perceived to be a mutant, or a radical departure from the other, that suggests instead a certain accepted tradition.
